I am not wearing any pants.

Sweat is dripping down my face. Each activity takes all my energy, then I have to sit and drink water. I want to go buy a soda, but I need rest first. It is 30°C or 86°F, and as humid as hell will be.

I met my Australian across-the-way neighbor today. He brought me to get my alien registration card. That was an experience. We got to the town hall, I went to booth six, and the man just giggled at every word I said. He was trying to explain to me to print my name, address, birthday. But the form clearly said all the in English. He was young and had really bad teeth.

Then neighbor-boy and I went and got coffee [at The Mall] which was pretty good. I figured out how to get an iced latte [with real milk, damn]. Aussie-neighbor got a hot dog? That was strange, eh? But the coffee place was nice enough, I may bring my sketchbook there in the future.

Then I went back to my neighbors place, which looks just like mine but with a Pringles pyramid, and we watched the Simpsons with another teacher, a woman from England. I couldnt understand half the shit they were saying. But she knew who I was before I introduced myself, I guess there are only a dozen teachers at the two schools, so a newbie is an event.

It is 3:45am where I used to live.

I hope my roommate doesnt come home early, to see me sitting in my underwear on the couch, using her computer. What a site! If only I could upload a picture for you all!

I am thoroughly enjoying your "travelogue" as much as I enjoy your regular blog. I am anxious to see the "jimmyjanesays" take on Japan in drawing form. Enjoy your time in The Land of the Rising Sun.

As much as I liked the "japanese TV" clip (as it reminded me of Lost In Translation), you should somehow put YOURSELF in every image you shoot. You know, because how should we know you actually ARE in Japan and not just pretending it from your basement and nicking Japan-pics from other peoples Flickr-accounts?

And Japan really is a city I want to go a LOT more than boring shit like New York (I bet it´s just like in the movies, and it´s pretty much just a big big western city). PLEASE GO TO THE ARCADES and make pictures. I heard THE place to go when you are in Tokyo is Akihabara (or something like that).

Make sure to bring some tentacle fetish hentai manga to shock your friends! ..oh wait, this is the internet. Forget about that.

You see? I am almost as excited as you! GO GO GO TEAM JEANNETTE!

YAY! That is awesome that you're hanging out with your neighbors. What kind of food/snacks have you had so far?! I'm so proud of you that you're getting along alright, ordering drinks, etc. I can't wait to see photos!

I did wake up super early and do some drawings of houses in the neighborhood, but Im leaving for Hiroshima tomorrow, and I have to pack (again), so I dont think it'll be up for a while.

I will take more pictures of myself, Fred, for you.

So far since Ive been in Kudamatsu I had french fries and onion rings for dinner one night, and "italian" food last night. The waiter at the italian place was so cute, because he was really shy to speak english. He'd slowly come to our table and ask questions like, "Japanese vegetables OK?" and giggle. That restaurant is right around the cornder, so Im sure I'll hit it up frequently. But, I havent been too hungry, no snacking, Ive been drinking a lot of water. it's hot.
